Perfect for the entire family, the Classic Swimming Hole Hike is, well… the “classic” Blue Ridge Mountain experience. Separate yourself from the crowds, but don’t wear yourself out doing it. A 1.5-mile, easy-moderate hike will take you to your swimming destination featuring unique water features that can’t be found at a water park. The more adventurous you are, the more there is to explore.

This experience takes you into a wilderness area. This trip is not recommended participants with health conditions that may require immediate attention.

***Slippery Rocks! We rent and sell Astral Brewers, amphibious footwear with sticky rubber soles, which gives participants a significant traction advantage and will enhance your experience.

A light snack and water are provided on the trip. Add a catered lunch from The Purple Onion Café for a picnic by the river.

***Reservations are required. Private Trips/Large Groups: contact us directly for customized experiences.

Distance/Duration: 3 miles total easy hike, 4-hour total trip time.

Schedule: The Classic Swimming Hole Hike is pre-scheduled in the afternoons at 1:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Check here for available times and dates.

Recommended for: Families with kids; groups with a wide range of physical fitness; multi-generational groups; Boy Scouts; School/Youth groups.
