Ready to step it up? As far as creekboating goes, there is no better place to learn than the Green River. Warm water, consistent water levels, regular releases – could it get more convenient? Just like all of our instructional clinics, the Advanced Creeking Clinic is customized to your specific goals, and moves at your pace. Set up as a two day course, we spend the morning of Day 1 on the Upper Green dialing in skills and concepts like; stroke timing, boofing, using rocks, catching micro-eddies, etc. From here you will evaluate your progress with your instructor and make a plan for the remainder of your clinic.
After your morning run on the Upper, and a killer lunch from the Purple Onion, hike up to the final 2 “big boys” on the Narrows – the infamous “Toilet Bowl” and “Hammer Factor”. This is the perfect short section to work on scouting and rapid strategy, boofing, catching tiny eddies, linking up difficult rapids, and experiencing the pure rush of creeking! Day 2 is determined by your comfort level and goals. With multiple access points to the Green River Narrows, and our central location to many natural flowing creeks in the area, your instructor can design a relatively safe but thrilling day to push your comfort zone and improve your skills.
We ask that all participants in our Advanced Creeking Clinics have a reliable combat roll and be very comfortable on class III whitewater with class IV experience. When you register for your clinic and speak with your instructor, we will ask you some questions about your previous experience to ensure this clinic is a good fit.
