Description: The Big Bradley 200ft Waterfall Rappel is a thrill you won’t get anywhere else. Practice your rappelling skills on a 30 ft vertical rock face before your descent next to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Be prepared to get wet, the splash from the falls is just part of the experience. And remember to keep your eyes peeled for the abundant salamanders clinging to the wall.
***Combine with the Waterfall Trek for a full-day Canyoneering Experience ($159, lunch included).
If this trip isn’t on your bucket list, it should be. Our rappel program is reviewed by American Mountain Guide Association certified facilitators and meets industry standards. Participants hike 0.8 miles to the top of the waterfall, where your guides will orient you to your harness and gear and teach you the techniques of rappelling. When you’ve mastered your rappel device, muster your courage on a 30ft vertical wall before descending the 200ft Waterfall Rappel.
(A light snack and water are provided on the trip.)
This is a high-adventure, wilderness experience that requires active participation. This trip is not recommended for some older adults, or participants with health conditions that may require immediate attention. Participants are required to climb the 30ft vertical wall multiple times with assistance from the rope. If you are excited to try Waterfall Rappelling, but aren’t sure if Big Bradley is right for you, we highly recommend trying our Little Bradley Waterfall Rappel first.
***Slippery Rocks! We rent and sell Astral Brewers, amphibious footwear with sticky rubber soles, which gives participants a significant traction advantage and will enhance your experience.
Looking for a full-day canyoneering experience? The Big Bradley Waterfall Rappel is commonly combined with the Waterfall Trek ($159, lunch from The Purple Onion Cafe included). Participants will Rappel first, eat lunch at the base of the Big Bradley Falls, and then continue on the Waterfall Trek to complete the day. Call to reserve this combination package!
